I am responding to Kaylen O’Leary’s blog about reality TV. It is true; there are many reality shows on TV. It seems like every night on every channel there is at least one reality show. I am a fan of a couple of reality shows. I do not know what it is about them that attract me. A couple of my favorite reality shows are given on MTV. One of them is the real world. They give it on Tuesday nights at ten and it starts off with a bunch of people auditioning to be on the show but only seven are picked. Once they are picked they live in a beautiful home and there lives are taped over a four month period. Another reality show is Laguna Beach. This is my most favorite. It is given on Monday nights at ten and basically tapes the lives of a group of teenagers who live in Laguna Beach. I like this show because of all the drama and cute boys it has. There are other channels that feature reality shows too. The good thing about MTV is that they are constantly repeating there shows. Since I do not always get to watch them at night because I am doing homework or am to tired, this is a great advantage. Some shows are competitions where people or families win a lot of money. Fear Factor, The Amazing Race, and The Biggest loser are just a few. On other shows like The Bachelor/Bachelorette and Trading Spaces you have the chance to meet your significant other or redo your home. Reality TV has become a big success and it is quite certain that it is going to be around for a while.

I have quite the opposite opinion and attitude about the reality shows. I think they are not shot on the spot, but acted out according to the scenario and they pursue a particular aim. As a rule to make the audience think as they wish.
